How it Started

A Pet Shop Born from Pure Love for Animals

In 2014, Emma & Daniel Hartwell — a veterinarian and a pet nutritionist — were frustrated. Despite their expertise, finding truly premium, safe, and ethically sourced pet supplies in one place was nearly impossible. So they built PawsMarket from their garage.

What began as a small online store with 40 products has grown into a beloved community of over 12,000 pet families. Every product we stock has been rigorously evaluated by our in-house team of vets and animal nutritionists.

Founded in a Garage

Emma and Daniel launched PawsMarket with 40 products, $3,000 in savings, and a dining-table office. First month: 12 orders. All delivered personally.

First Warehouse & Full Team

Hit 1,000 customers and moved into our first proper warehouse. Hired our first five team members and launched same-day delivery in our home city.

Vet Approval Programme Launched

Became the first online pet store to introduce a formal veterinary product review board. This programme now covers every single item in our catalog.

10,000 Customer Milestone

Reached 10,000 active customers and launched our charity partnership program, donating to over 30 animal shelters nationwide. Reached 500 products.
